- 2 (15 ounce) cans navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the drained and rinsed navy beans, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the bean mixture into a 1.5-quart baking dish.
- Arrange the chopped bacon evenly over the top of the bean mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the beans are bubbly.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, you can add an extra tablespoon of brown sugar.
- If you prefer a smokier taste, use a smoked bacon.
