A simple, no-fuss dessert combining strawberries, cheesecake filling, and cake mix.
Ingredients

- 1 (21 ounce) can strawberry pie filling
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix (dry mix only)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the cream cheese layer. Do not mix.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let the cake cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can serve this cake warm or at room temperature.
- Top with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
