A basic recipe for fresh, crunchy coleslaw.

- 4 cups shredded cabbage (green or mix)
- 1 cup shredded carrot
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the shredded cabbage and carrot in a large bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture.
- Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, increase the vinegar by one teaspoon.
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise for a lighter dressing.
