A simple recipe for classic chicken noodle soup.

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
- 1 cup egg noodles
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add celery, carrots, and onion. Cook until softened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add shredded chicken and egg noodles. Cook according to noodle package directions, usually about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Stir in salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
- You can substitute dried herbs like thyme or parsley for added taste.
