Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough into small, bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
Notes
- To make the flour safe to eat, you can heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring halfway through, or bake it on a sheet pan at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool completely before using.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
