Description
A simple recipe for making a large batch of Mimosas in a pitcher.
Ingredients

- 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled sparkling wine (Prosecco or Cava recommended)
- 3 cups chilled orange juice
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- Orange slices for garnish
Instructions
- Chill the sparkling wine and orange juice thoroughly before starting.
- In a large pitcher, combine the chilled orange juice and orange liqueur. Stir gently to mix.
- Slowly pour the chilled sparkling wine into the pitcher. Pour down the side of the pitcher to minimize loss of carbonation.
- Stir very gently one time to combine the liquids. Do not over-stir.
- Add orange slices to the pitcher for garnish.
- Serve immediately in champagne flutes, filling each glass about two-thirds with the mixture and topping with a little extra sparkling wine if desired.
Notes
- For a less sweet drink, use less orange liqueur or substitute with fresh lime juice.
- If you prefer a stronger drink, increase the amount of orange liqueur slightly.
- Prepare the juice and liqueur mixture ahead of time, but add the sparkling wine just before serving.
