Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let the simple syrup cool.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the frozen mango chunks, cooled simple syrup, and lime juice.
- Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
- Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours, stirring every hour for the first 3 hours to break up ice crystals.
- Serve when firm but scoopable.
Notes
- For a softer texture, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
- You can substitute the sugar with honey or agave nectar, adjusting the amount to your taste.
