Description
A simple meatloaf recipe using Lipton Onion Soup Mix for flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, eggs, and water. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a loaf pan or on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute half of the ground beef with ground pork or turkey for a different flavor profile.
- For a glaze instead of just ketchup, mix 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Apply this during the last 20 minutes of baking.
