Description
Simple recipe for flavorful salmon cooked on the grill with a lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grates.
- Brush the salmon fillets on both sides with olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried dill.
- Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill, skin-side down if applicable.
- Grill for 4 to 6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last minute of cooking, brush the lemon butter mixture generously over the top of the fillets.
- Remove the salmon from the grill and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use aluminum foil packets if you prefer not to place the fish directly on the grates.
- Fresh dill provides the best flavor, but dried is acceptable.
- Adjust lemon juice to your taste preference.
