Ingredients
Scale
- 2 thick-cut bone-in pork chops
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.

- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place the pork chops in the hot skillet.
- Sear for 4 to 5 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the chops from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of butter and a sprig of fresh rosemary to the pan during the last few minutes of cooking.
