Easy and flavorful slow cooker chicken tacos perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 12 taco shells
- Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix taco seasoning, chicken broth, salsa, onion, and garlic.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks.
- Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with sauce.
- Warm taco shells according to package directions.
- Fill taco shells with shredded chicken and your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For spicier tacos, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- You can also use chicken thighs for this recipe.
- Leftover chicken can be used for salads or quesadillas.
