Description

A quick and flavorful shrimp and broccoli stir fry recipe that you can make in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  5. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat.
  8. Serve immediately over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute chicken or tofu for shrimp.
  • Adjust the amount of soy sauce and oyster sauce to your preference.
