Description
A simple and juicy recipe for honey garlic chicken thighs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, grated ginger, and black pepper.
- Place chicken thighs in a baking dish. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the chicken from the baking dish. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the sauce from the baking dish into a small saucepan, add the slurry, and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Pour the thickened sauce back over the chicken.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving for a professional touch.
