Easy Garlic Parmesan Pasta

Description

A simple and delicious pasta dish with garlic and parmesan cheese, perfect for a quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not brown.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
  5. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  7. Add a little reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, if needed to create a light sauce.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of heavy cream.
  • Add cooked chicken or shrimp for a complete meal.
