Irresistible Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches

Description

A quick and delicious breakfast sandwich made with flaky croissants.


Ingredients

  • 2 croissants, sliced horizontally
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices cooked bacon or ham
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar, provolone, or Swiss)
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toast the cut sides of the croissants in the skillet until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Crack eggs into the skillet. Cook to your desired doneness (fried or scrambled). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place cheese slices on top of the cooked eggs to melt.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches: place the egg and cheese on the bottom half of each croissant, top with bacon or ham, and cover with the top half of the croissant.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can add your favorite hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon or ham and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
