Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites

Description

Quick and easy crispy salmon bites with a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, place the beaten egg.
  4. In a third shallow dish, place the flour.
  5. Dredge each salmon cube first in the flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Place the coated salmon bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the salmon bakes, prepare the Bang Bang sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  9. Once the salmon bites are cooked, toss them gently in the Bang Bang sauce.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy salmon, you can air fry the bites at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes.
  • Adjust sriracha to your spice preference.
  • Garnish with chopped chives or sesame seeds if desired.
