- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add marinated chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced cabbage and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together chicken broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the cabbage and stir to combine.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or snow peas.
