Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, for baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
- Fold the dough in half and pat it down again. Repeat this folding and patting process 2-3 more times.
- Cut out biscuits using a 2-inch round cutter.
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place the biscuits close together in the baking dish, ensuring they are touching.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of sugar to the dry ingredients.
- Serve warm with your favorite breakfast toppings.
