Description
A quick and delicious beef and broccoli stir fry ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Toss to coat and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, oyster sauce, and brown sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the broccoli. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked beef back to the skillet along with sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir everything together and cook for another minute until heated through.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Ensure your wok or skillet is hot before adding the beef to get a good sear.
