Irresistible BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos

Description

A flavor explosion in every bite, these BBQ pulled pork tacos are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 small corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickled red onions, cilantro, jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Place pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the pork in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
  5. Remove pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas according to package directions.
  7. Fill each tortilla with shredded BBQ pulled pork.
  8. Add your favorite toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a quicker version, you can cook the pork in an Instant Pot on high pressure for 60 minutes, followed by a natural pressure release for 15 minutes.
  • Adjust the BBQ sauce and seasonings to your preference.
  • Leftover pulled pork can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
