Description
Crispy baked chicken wings coated in a savory garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the garlic sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let the garlic brown.
- Stir in the soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can pat them dry with paper towels before tossing with oil and seasonings.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
