Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In the blender, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Blend until well combined.
  3. Add the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the blender.
  4. Blend until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
