- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 ripe California avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place avocado slices on the grill to warm them slightly.
- Serve grilled chicken topped with warm avocado slices.
Notes
- You can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
- Serve with a side of your favorite grilled vegetables.
