- 1 pound pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine.
- Stir in fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- You can add cooked chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
