Description

Easy and delicious shrimp tacos topped with a creamy avocado sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • For the Avocado Crema:
  • 1 ripe avocado, pitted and scooped
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  3. While shrimp cooks, prepare the avocado crema. Combine avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  4. Warm tortillas according to package directions.
  5. Fill each tortilla with cooked shrimp.
  6. Top with avocado crema and chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning.
  • You can also grill the shrimp for a smoky flavor.
