- 3 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 24 slider buns
- Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced jalapeños
Instructions
- Place pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
- In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the pork in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled pork on slider buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a quicker version, you can cook the pork in an Instant Pot on high pressure for 60 minutes, followed by a 15-minute natural release.
- Adjust the amount of brown sugar and vinegar to your taste preference.
- Leftover pulled pork can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
