Description
A simple recipe for cooking eggs inside a hole cut from a slice of bread.
Ingredients

- 2 slices bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Use a glass or cookie cutter to cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread.
- Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Place the bread slices in the skillet.
- Crack one egg into the hole of each bread slice.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the bottom of the bread is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the bread and eggs.
- Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes for a runny yolk, or longer for a firm yolk.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from skillet and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use the bread cut-out pieces for dipping into the yolk.
- Use medium-low heat to prevent the bread from burning before the egg cooks.
