Description
A quick recipe for making wraps using only egg whites.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 tablespoon water
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Whisk the egg whites, water, salt, and pepper together in a bowl until slightly frothy.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly coat the pan with oil or cooking spray.
- Pour about one-fourth of the egg white mixture into the hot skillet, tilting the pan to spread the mixture thinly and evenly into a circle, similar to a crepe.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the edges look set and the top is mostly dry.
- Carefully flip the wrap and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute until lightly golden.
- Slide the wrap onto a plate. Repeat with the remaining mixture to make 4 wraps.
- Fill the wraps with your desired fillings and fold or roll them up.
Notes
- For a more pliable wrap, cook slightly less time on the second side.
- You can add a dash of hot sauce to the egg white mixture for flavor.
- Use a 10-inch non-stick skillet for best results.
