Description

A simple and creamy gelatin dessert made with cream cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3 ounces) lemon gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Gradually beat the gelatin mixture into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  5. Pour into a 1-quart mold or individual serving dishes.
  6. Chill until firm, about 4 hours.

Notes

  • For a firmer dessert, use 1 1/4 cups cold water.
  • You can substitute other flavors of gelatin.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.
