Description

Simple recipe for tender, flavorful country style pork ribs.


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs country style pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over all surfaces of the pork ribs.
  4. Place the seasoned ribs in a large baking dish.
  5. Pour the apple cider vinegar and water into the bottom of the baking dish.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 2 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and drain off any excess liquid from the dish.
  9. Brush the tops of the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
  10. Return the uncovered ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly caramelized.
  11. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken broth for water if desired.
  • For extra tenderness, cook low and slow at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 2.5 hours before saucing.
