- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar.
- Add the cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder to the butter mixture and whisk until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For an extra fudgy brownie, bake for a shorter time.
- You can add chopped nuts to the batter if desired.
- Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature.
