Ingredients

  • 3 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup dulce de leche
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheets and cut each into 3 equal rectangles. Place the rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Let cool completely.
  4. While the pastry cools, prepare the chocolate ganache. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth. Stir in the butter until melted and incorporated.
  5. Spread a layer of dulce de leche on the bottom pastry rectangle.
  6. Top with a layer of chocolate ganache.
  7. Place another pastry rectangle on top. Repeat the dulce de leche and ganache layers.
  8. Finish with a final pastry rectangle.
  9. Dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.

  • You can make the pastry layers ahead of time and store them in an airtight container.
