Garlic Butter Chicken and Shrimp Skillet

Description

A quick skillet meal featuring chicken and shrimp cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  8. Stir everything together until coated in the sauce.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve this dish over rice or pasta to soak up the sauce.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
