Description
Make easy, flavorful cheesy garlic bread at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of both bread halves.
- Place the bread halves, butter-side up, on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over both halves.
- Return the bread to the oven and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice into serving pieces and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- You can substitute Monterey Jack or provolone cheese for mozzarella.
- If you like a crispier crust, place the bread directly on the oven rack for the last few minutes of baking.
