Description

A simple, layered dessert featuring crushed Butterfinger candy bars.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup chopped Butterfinger candy bars

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, cold butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  4. Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  5. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
  6. Sprinkle half of the chopped Butterfinger bars over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the candy bar layer.
  8. Top with the remaining chopped Butterfinger bars.
  9. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can use a pre-made shortbread crust to save time.
