- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat.
- Stir the sugar into the melted butter.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a chewier texture, bake closer to 25 minutes.
- You can add 1 cup of chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
