Description

A refreshing, simple drink made with fresh blueberries, water, and sweetener.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place the blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water into a blender.
  2. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour the blueberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing down on the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of water and the lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well.
  5. Taste the agua fresca and add more sugar or water if needed.
  6. Serve immediately over ice.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, reduce the sugar amount.
  • You can strain the mixture twice for a clearer liquid.
  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
