A classic creamy macaroni salad recipe perfect for potlucks and picnics.
Ingredients

- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
- Paprika for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, celery, onion, relish, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the bowl and mix well.
- If using, gently fold in chopped hard-boiled eggs.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Garnish with paprika before serving, if desired.
Notes
- For a tangier salad, add a little more vinegar.
- Adjust the amount of onion and celery to your preference.
- You can add other vegetables like peas or bell peppers.
