A simple recipe for baking sockeye salmon fillets alongside fresh asparagus.

- 2 (6 ounce) sockeye salmon fillets
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet.
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears on the other side of the baking sheet.
- Drizzle the salmon and asparagus with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the minced garlic, salt, and pepper evenly over the salmon and asparagus.
- Place two or three lemon slices on top of each salmon fillet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute other firm fish fillets for sockeye salmon if needed.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of dried dill over the fish before baking.
- Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets.
