Air Fryer Avocado Fries

Description

Crispy avocado fries made quickly in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 firm avocados
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados into thick fry shapes, about 1/2 inch thick. Peel the skin off carefully.
  2. Set up a dredging station with three shallow dishes. Place flour in the first dish.
  3. Place beaten eggs in the second dish.
  4. Mix breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in the third dish.
  5. Dredge each avocado piece first in the flour, shaking off excess.
  6. Dip the floured avocado into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
  7. Coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  8. Arrange the coated avocado fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overlap.
  9. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  10. Air fry at 380F (195C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  11. Spray the second side lightly with cooking spray before flipping.
  12. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use firm, not overly ripe, avocados for best results.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, like lime crema or sriracha mayo.
